Miriam Herlihy
Psychological therapy and support for Adults, Children, and Young People as part of ACC Training for Independence programmes.

Most of us at some time in our life need some help when things get a bit tough, and making the decision to ask for help takes courage. Whether it be to unpack a complex issue, navigate safely through a storm, manage some of the thoughts or feelings that you’ve had since an accident or injury, or get some ideas for next-steps, Miriam knows that it’s important to feel heard and valued.

As a Registered Psychologist and Solution-Focused therapist, Miriam will provide you with a place that is safe, non-judgemental, and centred on empowering you to get yourself back into a better space. Miriam is an EMDR practitioner (Member EMDRNZ and EMDR Association of Australia), and a member of both the NZ Psychological Society (NZPsS) and the American Psychological Association (APA).

Miriam’s clients range in age from 10-90 years, and she offers support both in-person at Tranquility Mind & Body, and via Telehealth. Before returning to psychology in her 40’s, Miriam held various roles in the corporate and business space, and was even inspired by experiencing first-hand the value of psychological support.

Miriam is available exclusively through Active Plus ACC Training for Independence programmes.
